The Stinson Sentinel is a fantastic X Plane 11 freeware aircraft for learning how to handle a tail wheel aircraft. Aerobatics are a lot of fun with barrel rolls and loops not to hard but be cautious because it will spin if you get it wrong. It is very impressive aircraft especially offered as freeware. The latest 11.40 Beta made the overall characteristics of aircraft even more realistic making them often but not always drop a wing when stalling. Its realistic stall characteristics are something I enjoy pushing to the limit. The flight characteristics are pretty good with smooth controls making take off and landing a realistic challenge for new comers and experienced simmers alike.
The Aerobask Robin is great in the handling department being easy to taxi with its nose wheel steering.
New comers to X Plane 11 and no doubt Prepar3d plus FSX and now MSFS 2020 also have the Garmin included on several aircraft.
Getting to grips with the avionics is not to difficult but be patient. The Aerobask is a fantastic low wing aircraft. The aircraft comes with the Garmin 1000 suite which gives it a really modern feel. Barron 58 Cockpit X Plane 11 Freeware Barron 58 This is where it stands apart from other simulators with its absolute realism. The amazing thing about the X Plane 11 flight model is the whole aircraft airflow calculations that are made in real time. It is the same in any flight simulator, you must learn to crawl, then walk before you can run in an airliner of a jet fighter. In the real world you would likely start in the Cessna 172 as you venture into aviation taking your first steps. The Barron 58 has featured in a few of my own videos and I hope I get the opportunity to include it in more on Lets Fly VFR. There are also a wide range of gliders, general aviation plus military aircraft included with X Plane 11. It comes with great textures and sound which helps immerse you in the whole flying experience. The Barron 58 is one of the X plane 11 best freeware aircraft. They are truly a challenge to master so don’t expect it to be all done in five minutes.
If your into airliners we have the Boeing 747 and 737 to take your passengers anywhere they desire. Need a city flight and to drop a passenger on a helipad then there are some fantastic helicopters to challenge your flying skills. We have a selection for all budding pilots. The X Plane best freeware aircraft are the ones that come included and have the best detail and performance to get you started. I think we should look at the amazing planes for X Plane 11 that are in the default hanger. Check out the Lisa Akoya as well as the Robin 401 on LetsFlyVFR You tube Channel for more. I have personally made a few videos in the Lisa Akoya and they were a lot of fun. Its great to have the option to land on a fixed runway or a lake or sea runway so be adventurous and head bush. This fantastic sea Plane will get you out to enjoy the waterways and back blocks of the sim. We also have been given the Lisa Akoya seaplane for X Plane 11. Included with the aircraft is the Garmin G1000 avionics package to make this aircraft feel ultra modern. The aircraft is tremendous fun to fly and comes with great quality cockpit textures and flight model. This is an aircraft you should definatly add to your virtual hangar. They have gifted the community a number of high quality freeware aircraft like the French designed single engine Robin 401, four place aircraft.
